Inspired by artist Otobong Nkanga’s suggestion that ‘caring is a form of resistance’, Dear Earth highlights the ways in which artists are helping to reframe and deepen our psychological and spiritual responses to the climate crisis. Lavishly illustrated, Dear Earth weaves together the work of fifteen contemporary artists with essays by practitioners from the worlds of art, ecology, literature and climate activism, including J. Drew Lanham, Maja Fowkes and Reuben Fowkes, Rebecca Solnit and Greta Thunberg. The book is printed on recycled paper using vegetable inks, and carbon offset.
